"We are writing this letter of recommendation for George Fisher who was the contractor on the remodel of our house in 2003/2004. The job was very extensive with the addition of a second floor, and a complete overhaul of the first floor including moving walls, rewiring, and new surfaces. We did not live in the house during the construction, but visited almost every day.
George gave us a well thought out bid in a timely fashion and agreed to use some subcontractors of our choice for cabinet work and countertops. We worked with both an architect for the initial plans and a designer for kitchen layout and interior design. George interacted with both of these people in a professional manner and balanced their needs with practical solutions.
One of George's greatest strengths is his ability to get the job done. He is very task oriented and kept to a pretty tight time schedule, which necessitated us being ready with choices. He kept us well informed about the progress of the job and told us when to expect subcontractors. As with all construction, problems or unexpected issues would arise, but George was very fair in his assessment of what it would take to fix the problem and his charges. George and his crews were very neat and courteous and the neighbors commented favorably on the construction process. We had an existing swimming pool and mature landscaping on the property and there was no damage to them. The job was completed on time and to a high standard. He also was willing to come back after completion of the job to adjust a few items.
